Meet Steven Allinson
Attorney Steven Allinson earned his Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2007 and was awarded a Dean’s Scholarship. While attending Quinnipiac, Steve worked for the Quinnipiac University Legal Clinic helping the community by providing free legal services. Steve earned the maximum clinical credits allowed by the school, and upon graduation he was awarded the prestigious Excellence in Clinical Work Award.

Steve also graduated from Bryant College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Actuarial Mathematics and Business Administration with a Minor in Political Science. While attending Bryant, he was a Brother of the Delta Kappa Epsilon and a Dean’s Scholar.

Steve was admitted to the State of Connecticut Bar in November 2007. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Estate and Probates Section. Steve joined several of the Connecticut Bar Association while attending law school and is an active member. He is also a proponent for Elder Rights and is an active advocate in the community.
While attending Law School, Steve worked as a law clerk for three years at Lynch, Traub, Keefe and Errante, a prestigious firm in New Haven. Upon graduation, Attorney Allinson had the privilege of clerking for several judges in New Haven Superior Court and working on cases in many different areas of law.

Steve uses his expertise in several areas of law to further those values he learned while working at the Quinnipiac University Legal Clinic; specifically, he uses the law to try and improve the quality of living of all those around him. Often, you can see him representing clients that can not afford a lawyer in the surrounding Probate Courts.
Currently, he maintains an “Superb” rating on Avvo, the highest (“AV”) rating on Martindale-Hubbell, and has been nominated as a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star multiple times.
Steve serves as an alternate on the Wallingford Planning and Zoning Commission. He is also a committee member of the Wallingford Committee on Aging. He is a past officer of Hiram Lodge #1 in New Haven and a member of Compass Lodge #9 in Wallingford. He is also a past officer for the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Connecticut, a member of the Grand Lodge’s on Masonic Education Committee, and served for many years on the Committee for Legal Matters.
Steve volunteers in his free time at Masonicare, an elder care facility in Wallingford, and served as a Past Director on the Home, Health, and Hospice Board of Masonicare. He also served Masonicare on their Masonic Charity Foundation’s Board of Directors and on their Quality of Life Committee. Steve additionally serves with the Second Company Governor’s Foot Guard which is part of Connecticut’s military department.
He has served the Connecticut Bar Association in the Small Firm Section and the New Haven County Bar Association as the Chairman of the Estates and Probate Section. Often you can find him fishing, golfing, hiking, at the gym, at a concert, skiing, traveling, or off on an adventure.
